Question 1 of 3
Pop Culture · 1970s
What fast food chain uses the slogan 'Have it your way'?
Did You Know?
Burger King has used 'Have it your way' as its slogan since 1974, originally a jingle that promised hold-the-pickles, hold-the-lettuce on every Whopper. The Whopper itself debuted in 1957 for 37 cents, a quarter pound of beef when McDonald's was still selling skinny patties. But Burger King's most legendary marketing move was the 1985 'Where's Herb?' campaign, in which they sent customers hunting for 'Herb the Nerd,' supposedly the only American who'd never eaten a Whopper. The campaign was an unmitigated disaster. Herb wasn't funny, the rules were confusing, and ad executives still teach it as one of the worst campaigns of all time.
